Frequently Asked Questions

Have a question? It may have been asked by someone else as well. See if the answers here help you.

What if I’m unsure what service I need?

No worries, sometimes we have a vague sense that we want to get help but are not sure where to start. We can arrange a free 20 min call to answer any queries, share more about the various services, and help you to find something that fits your need!

Okay I think I’m ready. How do I start?

If you have an idea of what service could benefit you, drop a message to get in touch. Let me know your situation and which service you’d like to go for. I will get back to you via email and/or a call to confirm the details before proceeding. This includes the service, number of sessions needed, and other practical matters such as date and time of sessions, frequency, location and fees.

Will all clients be accepted?

In our exploratory call, we will discuss your needs and whether I can meet those needs. If I am unable to, I will let you know why and refer you to other services where possible. It is not ethical for me to be providing services that I am not trained in. Some areas not within my specialization include: young children (below 6), couple and family therapy, severe psychosis and persons with intellectual disabilities.

How much do you charge?

Drop a message with an indication of which service you’d like to inquire on and I will be able to get back to you!

What if I can’t afford the fees?

Don’t let that stop you from seeking help. I understand that fees can be expensive in Singapore. If you cannot afford the fees but need help, I may be able to redirect you to other places that offer free or subsidized services. I can also provide pro-bono services for limited slots per year.

How frequent are sessions?

That depends on the need! This will be discussed and mutually agreed upon. Typically, aside from availability, it also depends on the purpose of the sessions. The frequency of sessions can also change later on, depending on life stages and current needs.

How many sessions will there be?

Once again, this depends on which service. For therapy services, I typically recommend at least 6-10 sessions before we review the progress. For the other services, it typically ranges from 1 session up to 12 sessions.

Can you provide an invoice?

Certainly. Let me know if you need this and I will be happy to provide one. Payment can be made via PayNow, Bank Transfer or Cash.

I need help right now!

If you need urgent emotional help, please contact Samaritans of Singapore (SOS) hotline at 1800-221-4444. If you are facing issues of harm or violence targeted towards you or someone you know, please call the police at 999.
